The Ephemeral Nature of Rock Art (S1, E5)

STEVE OLIVA is the founder of Kitchen Island Show Print, which creates custom rock posters, art prints, cover designs, and more. Steve has made art for bands such as Jason Isbell, Wilco, Titus Andronicus, and the Hopscotch Music Festival, just to name just a few.

He’s also the bassist for Spider Bags, whose new album Someday Everything Will Be Fine is out now from Merge Records.

Steve is also the art director for INDY Week, the alternative weekly in North Carolina’s Triangle region.

We bellied up to the bar at the Atomic Fern for a freewheeling conversation about art, parenting, and of course, music.
